HESSONITE4 - Garnet var. Hessonite
$ 115.00 (=~ £ 92.87) SOLD
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada
thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.8 x .7 cm

This piece is bright and highly reflective. It is flat on the back side, but crystallized not cleaved. This mine has been closed to collecting for years, and getting good specimens has become more difficult each year. This is a gem, and would make an amazing custom pendant for anyone so inclined. It weighs 5.5 grams.
