QUARTZ29 - Quartz Var. Amethyst scepters
$ 125.00 (=~ € 116.90) SOLD
Karur, Chennai, Southern India
miniature - 4.8 x 2.6 x 2.5 cm

This unusual formation of Quartz consists of many Amethyst Scepters crowded together on a drusy white quartz matrix. The Quartz is unusually bright with bold color saturation and even some golden needle inclusions (probably rutile). It is pristine, with only a tiny missing crystal top on the lower right side (very hard to see, but pictued nonetheless). A special piece from southern India.

QUARTZ30 - Quartz Var. Amethyst with Prehnite
$ 295.00 (=~ € 275.89) SOLD
Goboboseb Mtns. Brandberg Dist. Erongo Region, Namibia
small cabinet - 7.3 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm

This was found in Namibia in the last two months. It is super sharp and bright. There are no dings of any kind. The color is rich, the surface is bright, and there is a small rosette of prehnite on the side. I "hot-handed," this from the guys who bought it at the mine, early at the Munich show. This crystal has everything I look for from this locality.

QUARTZ31 - Quartz Var. Amethyst with Prehnite
$ 265.00 (=~ € 247.84) SOLD
Goboboseb Mtns. Brandberg Dist. Erongo Region, Namibia
small cabinet - 7.1 x 3.1 x 3.0 cm

This Quartz shows a heavy association with lime green Prehnite. It has interesting internal "landscapes," and is nicely framed by the Prehnite, which only occasionally associates itself with Quartz at this location. The Quartz crystal is pristine. At the base is a smaller Quartz that has a minor contact where it attached to another crystal (barely noticeable).

This pinkish/lavender sapphire has an amazing fluorescence (long wave)! It is pictured front and back, regular lighting and fluorescent, both pics are highly accurate. It's in good shape, without any visible dings, but with a little natural "roughing," on one lower face, where there was some contact. It weighs 9.26 carats.

QUARTZ32 - Quartz Var. Amethyst
$ 95.00 (=~ € 88.85) SOLD
Karur, Chennai, Southern India
miniature - 3.3 x 2.2 x 1.1 cm

Occasionally spectacular little examples of Amethyst scepters are produced in southern India. This is a good example of one. The Amethyst "heads," have sprouted up from a drusy whiter quartz base. They are perched nicely on the bed of drusy quartz which makes for an amazing miniature. The Amethyst is glassy and transparent with needles of probably Rutile or Lepidochrosite happening inside. There are even small gemmy herkimer diamond-like amethysts growing on the scepter head. It's in great shape, no visible dings. Most of the material from here is chipped a lot.

TOURM33 - Elbaite Tourmaline with Clevelandite
$ 325.00 (=~ € 303.95) SOLD
Stak Nala, Skardu Road, Haramosh Mts., Gilgit, Northern Areas, Pakistan
miniature - 4.1 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm

These four primary Tourmalines are interconnected with Cleavelandite. This was recently mined, and rushed to Munich where I carefully selected it for its color, clarity and lack of damage. This piece is quite unique because it shows off a blue cap beyond a band of green and a broader layer of yellow-green. This was the only blue cap example out of 125 specimens available. The tourmaline is bright and reflective. It's in great shape no damage to the four tourmalines. There is a very minor small fifthe crystal that has a little chipping, but no big deal.

Three bright Tourmalines are nestled between honeycomb-looking Cleavelandite crystals. It aesthetically stands ideally by itself. The tops of the tourmaline are deep green. It's in great shape without any dings.
