This is a colorful, gemmy example of the Cesium-rich Beryl from the type locality. We were fortunate enough to get a mention in the Mineralogical Record that covered the Tucson 2011 Main show regarding what a value our Pezzottaites were. This crystal is thick, transparent in places, and has excellent color. There are no dings, it's in good shape, having the typical tabular crystal habit of this rare variety of Beryl. It weighs 3.2 grams. Typically the wholesale on this piece would be around $100 - $125 per gram. They were found one time, in this deposit in Madagascar and that was it. (other locales in other countries are exceptionally rare, I know of only one other from Bill Larson's collection.)

This sort of Topaz location is hard to find, as it has been closed for years. Matrix blue topaz is somewhat unusual on a woldwide level (most sky blue topaz occurs as single crystals from Brazil, and parts of Africa). This piece has about a dozen topaz crystals and some blades of Wolframite, and some small gold Arsenopyrite crystals for "good measure."

It is a pleasant size. It has some minor contact where it attached to the wall and crystals didn't form. otherwise it's in good shape.

This is an old piece I acquired directly from Dr. Steve Smale, the renowned mathematician and mineral collector around 2008. It is a beautiful gem green color and with remarkable clarity. It involves three crystals are tightly crystallized together. It weighs 7.9 grams.  It's in fine condition with only a micro ding on one of the lower crystals. Overall a beautiful tourmaline.

This gemmy, nice Indicolite has an interesting termination. Right before it finished crystallizing, it goes through a slight green then finally a light pink top. It's subtle, but there when you look at it. It weighs 6.65 grams. No damage or dings.

Barra Da Salinas, is the locale for Tourmaline "scepters." this ellusive form of Tourmaline is hard to find and harder to get for anything less than a fortune. This good example of minorly etched bi-color tourmaline has fairly good color with three color zones consisting or red and green. It's fully terminated and unbroken. It weighs 5.5 grams.

This unique Garnet was first mined in 2003. I was in Brazil at the time and got to see most of the entire find. Not often seen were associations with Apatite, and boytroidal opal. The garnets formed in large domes of Clevelandite. They were typially loose inside their pockets. Often refferred to as "etched," I favor the articles that instead reveal the parrallel growth crystallization as a unique phenomenon and that they are not etched by natural exposure to acids in the pocket. This peice comes from the Hawthorneden inventory.

This large example has a deep, rich Red, not brown color (I used a light box to show its internal color). It weighs 46.4 grams. It has two micro dings, but do not catch the eye whatsoever (it doesn't disrupt the overall form at all either). It also has a small little quartz crystal attached to it.

This nickel iron meteorite fell on Feb. 12, 1947 in the Sikhote-alin Mountains of Eastern Siberia, Russia. It is the largest observed meteorite fall in history, with over 23000 kg raining down on the earth in the form of iron shrapnel and the more rare individual fallen meteorites such as this one. It is covered in regmaglypts, the indentations that give the piece contours. I put this piece away, back when this meteorite was readily available on the market. A couple years ago, the Russian government has made it difficult to export, and diggers I knew said there was almost nothing left to find. 

This fine example weighs 52.80 grams. It's in fine condition.

This is a fine example of this uncommon form of Quartz. It is a four phase inclusion in a single terminated Quartz crystal found in central Pakistan 4 years ago. It is highly fluorescent under both short wave and long wave (SW pictured). There are at least 2 moving bubbles or carbon pieces that moves within the yellow petroleum. The gas bubble forms when the the Quartz cools after forming, the petroleum contracts more than the Quartz because it is less dense, it pulls a vacume within the fluid thus creating a "gas" bubble.  The four phases are: the gas bubble trapped in the petroleum, the petroleum itself, a darker brown previously organic material, and black carbon inclusions. I learned this from an insightful geologist who specializes in Quartz inclusions, whom I met at the Tucson Main show. This crystal has an attractive gold and black color range. It has the tiniest Wilbur just below the termination (need a hand lens to view). These are scarce on the market to say the least. I've only seen one good lot ofthese in 8 years of dealing with Pakimers.

This gemmy bi-color Tourmaline really "glows." It has the noteworthy greenish lower third, and a rich pink 2/3. It has a typicaly flat termination and very gemmy purple Lepidolite crystals sprinkled on it. It's in very good condition, there is a spot where Lepidolite formed on the crystal and later fell off (probably in the pocket). There are two micro chips on the edge of the termination (pictured), which is normal.  

It weighs 50 grams.
